Insurance & coverage

Coverage shouldn’t be the hardest part.

Paperwork, eligibility, authorizations, it’s a lot. Our team helps you understand each requirement and what to expect at every stage.

The path to approval

How coverage usually works.

01

Share your coverage details

Tell us who your child’s health plan is through. We’ll confirm what we need to move forward.

02

Eligibility & diagnostic requirements

EIDBI requires an eligibility determination, including a qualifying diagnostic assessment.

03

Comprehensive evaluation

A CMDE (Comprehensive Multi-Disciplinary Evaluation) helps determine medically necessary services.

04

Authorization & start of care

Once services are authorized, we schedule and begin working on your child’s plan.

Requirements and timelines are set by your child’s health plan and by Minnesota program rules, so specifics can differ from family to family.

Questions families ask

Straight answers.

Don’t see your question? Call us and ask. We’d rather explain it than leave you guessing.

What is EIDBI?

Early Intensive Developmental and Behavioral Intervention is a Minnesota Health Care Programs benefit for eligible people under age 21 with autism spectrum disorder or a related condition.

Is ABA the same as EIDBI?

No. EIDBI is the benefit that can fund services. ABA is one treatment approach that may be used within EIDBI.

Do you accept my insurance?

Coverage varies by plan. Share your plan details and we’ll tell you what we can accept and what steps would be required.

What if we don’t have a diagnosis yet?

Reach out anyway. We can explain the evaluation and eligibility steps that usually come first.

How long does approval take?

Timelines depend on your plan, the evaluation schedule, and authorization review. We’ll keep you updated at each stage.

What will I owe?

Any family cost depends on your specific plan and benefits. We’ll be upfront about what we know before services begin.

Send us your details and we’ll take it from there.

Share what you know about your coverage, and our team will tell you the next practical step.
